Responsibilities

The Ski Beat holiday experience generally includes flights from the UK, transfer to one of our high-altitude French resorts and one week in a Ski Beat catered chalet - sometimes booked on an exclusive basis for families or groups of friends and sometimes shared with other Ski Beat guests.

The Chalet Host is responsible for delivering the Ski Beat catered chalet experience which includes:

  • Clean and prepare your chalet for weekly arrival of your guests.

  • Four mornings per week, prepare and serve a cooked breakfast, clean living areas and bedrooms, bake a cake and lay out afternoon tea for guests’ return from skiing.

  • Six evenings per week, cook a three course evening meal, serve and dine with your guests – a bit like hosting your own dinner party.

  • Generally care for your guests in a warm and friendly manner, provide resort and ski area information and resolve any issues that may arise to the best of your ability.

Other duties include:

  • Manage your chalet including reporting, linen supplies, food & wine ordering, keeping pathways clear of ice & snow and basic maintenance.

  • Deep clean of your chalet at beginning, middle and end of season.

  • Being a conscientious member of the resort team, assisting other team members as required.
